It is our mission to prepare today's learners for tomorrow's challenges.
Welcome to Coal City High School! CCHS is a four-year high school in north-central Illinois, and is a member of the Illinois High School Association and the Illinois Central Eight Conference.
I am a 2005 Coal City High School graduate and proud to be back at my high school to serve my community. After high school, I received my Bachelors Degree in Math Education from Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN. After college I taught for math for 6 years at Reed-Custer High School. During my tenure there, I received my Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Concordia Chicago. I then transferred from Reed-Custer to Coal City Middle School where I worked as an 8th grade math teacher for 4 years. Then, I was hired as the Assistant Principal at Coal City Middle School and Homeless Liaison for the Coal City Unit School District for the 2021-2022 school year. After a year as an Assistant Principal, I transferred over to Coal City High School as the Assistant Principal, Homeless Liaison, and AP Coordinator. I am entering my third year in this position, and I couldn't be happier. It is great to be back home at CCHS with our amazing staff!
I currently live in Coal City with my wife of 10 years and my two daughters. I coach my daughters’ soccer teams through Coal City Soccer Club as well as the Middle School Track Team.
If I can be of any assistance at any time, please do not hesitate to contact me.
