The five senior members of the Coalers Dance Team were recognized during Senior Night activities on Friday, Oct. 18. Honored for their commitment and contributions to the newly revived program were—Abby Kodat, Isabella Byers, Aubrey Grunwald, Tyson Sample, and Gianna Savarino.
Abby Kodat is an active senior at Coal City High School participating in Marching Band, Jazz Band, Music Honor Society, Drama Club and Theatre. After graduation, Abby plans to attend a four year college or university. On Senior Night, Abby was escorted by her parents, Eric and Ann Kodat.
Isabella Byers was recognized on Senior Night for her contributions to the newly revived dance team at Coal City High School. She is also involved in Theater and is a member of Drama Club. Following graduation, she plans to obtain her cosmetology license. Isabella was accompanied by her parents, Stephen and Rebecca Byers on Senior Night.
Aubrey Grunwald is a busy senior participating in National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, FBLA, Student Ambassadors, Madrigals, Science Club, Math Team, Theater and serving as a Drama Club officer. After graduation, Aubrey plans to attend a four year university to major in finance. Accompanying Aubrey on Senior Night were her parents, Chad and Dana Grunwald.
Tyson Sample was recognized on Senior Night as a member of the newly revised dance team, a member with over 13 years of dance experience having studied and performed with the On Broadway Dancers. Tyson attends the Grundy Area Vocational Center’s Cosmetology program and plans to obtain a license and pursue a career in cosmetology after graduation. Tyson was accompanied by her mom, Destiny Sample on Senior Night.
Gianna Savarino was recognized for contributions to the dance program this fall. Gianna is also a member of Madrigals and Theatre at CCHS. After graduation she plans to attend a four year college or university to major in commercial dancing. Gianna was escorted on Senior Night by parents, Tiffany Ferguson and Eric Savarino.
