The Coalers Girls Tennis Team added another win as it shut out Princeton, 5-0, on Tuesday, Sept. 30.
At No. 1 singles Rebecca Hall defeated Princeton’s Tessa Carlson, 6-1 , 6-0 , and at No. 2 singles, Kyla Kohler was 6-4 , 6-2 over her opponent.
In doubles action, in the No. 1 spot Coal City’s Camryn Planeta and Bridget Feeney defeated Princeton’s Ava Munson and Anna Ellis in three sets— 5-7 , 6-3 and 10-7. Also securing doubles wins were Kyla Stark and Lanie Winke defeating their Princeton opponents 6-3 , 6-3 ; and in No. 3 doubles spot Kamryn Hansen and Olivia Weatherbee closed out the night with a win—5-7 , 6-4 , 10-7.
The Coalers will be back in action on Tuesday, Oct. 7 when they travel to LaSalle-Peru for a 4:30 p.m. match.
