Coalers Athletics honors senior soccer players

Chloe Pluger is a four year member of the Coalers Girls Soccer Team and her contributions to the program were recognized on Senior Night. During her time as a Coaler, Chloe also participated in basketball, National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, Link Leaders, Coalers with Character and Yearbook. She will continue her education at Eureka College majoring in political science with a minor in psychology. She will also be playing for the Red Devils Women’s Soccer Team. She was accompanied on Senior Night by her parents Matt and Candi Pluger and Kelly Flood and Al Zuccarello. 

 

Corinna Barkley has played for years of soccer for the Coalers and her contributions to the team were celebrated during Senior Night activities on May 1. During high school, Corinna also participated in Future Business Leaders of America [FBLA], Coalers with Character, Speech, Math Team, National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society. Corinna will continue her education at Augustana College majoring in political science on a pre-law track. She will also continue in athletics as a member of the Augie Soccer Team.  On Senior Night she was accompanied by her parents Stephanie Barkley and Clark Barkley. 

 

Aylie Castle is a two year member of the Coalers Girls Soccer Team and she was recognized for her participation in the program on May 1. Aylie also played volleyball for the Coalers and has participated in National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, EmpowHER, Coalers with Character and Students Standing Strong. Her plans are to attend Calvin University in Michigan pursuing a degree in education to fulfill her plans of being an elementary school teacher. On Senior Night she was accompanied by her parents Becky and Tyler Castle. 

 

Kylee Kennell is a four year member of the Coalers Girls Soccer Team and her commitment to the sport was recognized during Senior Night activities. Kylee also participated in golf and basketball during her time as a Coaler. She also held membership in Coalers with Character, National Honor Society Coaler Creations, Yearbook and Future Business Leaders of America [FBLA]. Kylee will attend the University of Southern Indiana to acquire her bachelors degree in Health Services and certificate for occupational therapy assistance with further plans to obtain a degree in occupational therapy. Escorting Kylee on Senior Night were her parents Danielle and Harlan Kennell. 

 

Ava Meyer is a four year member of the Coalers Girls Soccer Team and her contributions to the program were recognized during Senior Night activities on May 1. During her time as a Coaler, Ava participated in Science Club, Art Club, National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society and Band—serving as a drum major her senior year. Ava will attend the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign to major in animal science and pursue a degree in veterinary medicine. Escorting Ava on Senior Night were her parents Sara Brooks and Eric and Amanda Meyer.

 

Anayi Mayorga has participated in Coalers Girls Soccer for four years and her involvement in the program was honored by her coaches and teammates on May 1.  Her plans are to attend Joliet Junior College with a focus on earning a business management degree and to pursue  a career in cosmetology. Anayi was accompanied on Senior Night by her parents Crisel and Ricardo Mayorga.
