Senior marching band, color guard members recognized

Kyliee Jones is a four year member of the Marching Coaler Band. Accompanied by her mom, Jen Weller, she was recognized on Senior Night for her commitment to the music program. Her plans after high school are to enter the workforce. 

 

Ava Meyer is a four year member of the marching band and is a drum major this season. She is also involved in jazz band, soccer, Science Club, Art Club, national Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society. Ava’s future plans are to major in animal science and earn her degree in veterinary medicine. She was escorted on Senior Night by Sarah Brooks and Eric and Amanda Meyer. 

 

Mackenzie Messina is in her fourth year of marching band and is also involved in symphonic and jazz band, and the  musical pit orchestra. Additionally, she is a member of the Art Club, National Honor Society and Music Honor Society. On Senior Night she was escorted by her parents Dominic and Stephanie Messina. Following high school her plans are to attend the Savannah College of Art and Design majoring in animation. 

 

Derek Berglund is a four year member of the marching band and participates in color guard and winter guard, as well as pep and concert band. He is also involved in Student Ambassadors at CCHS. Derek was escorted on Senior Night by his parents Trisha and Brian Berglund. His future plans are to attend Olivet Nazarene University to study nursing. 

 

Avery McConnell is in her third year marching as a member of the color guard. She is also involved with the Art Club, trapshooting and winter guard. She was accompanied on Senior Night by her parents Pete and Kelly McConnell. Her future plans are to attend a four year college to study criminology. 

 

Melody Kinder is a four year member of the Marching Coaler Band and has served as drum major for the past two seasons. Melody is also  involved in theater, speech, Madrigals, Drama Club, National Honor Society and Music Honor Society. On Senior Night, Melody was escorted by her parents Justin and Carmen Kinder. Her future plans are to attend Olivet Nazarene University to double major in music and biology. 

 

Hunter Patterson is a four year member of the Coaler Marching Band where he is part of the percussion section. In addition to band, he participates in trapshooting. On Senior Night his contributions to the music program were recognized alongside his parents Scott and Nicole Patterson. Following high school, Hunter plans to continue his education at Joliet Junior College. 

 

Mayson Wontroba was honored on Senior Night for four years of participation in the Coaler Marching Band. Mayson is also involved in tennis, jazz band and musical pit orchestra. On Senior Night, he was escorted by Julia DiGiacomo and Richard Boys. Mayson's future plans are to attend a four year university.

 

Shaun Polarek is a four year member of the Coaler Marching Band and his commitment to the program was recognized on Senior Night. Brothers Tyler and Logan Polarek were there to support his achievements and participation  in the music program. His future plans are to attend a four year college to study computer engineering. 

 

Vincenzo Mugnolo is a four year member of the marching band. He also participates in Scholastic Bowl, Speech and Music Honor Society at CCHS. He was escorted on Senior Night by his parents Vincent and Danielle Mugnolo. His future plans are to major in music education at Illinois State University. 

 

Adehlia Rivera was recognized on Senior Night for her four years of contributions to the Coaler Marching Band. She was escorted by her parents Memory and Don Rivera. Her future plans are to become a pharmacy technician.
