Springing into the final days of the school year

There are just 29 attendance days left for students in the Coal City School District and even fewer for members of the class of 2024. As the end of the year draws near, the Coal City High School Student Council has planned out a week of fun activities for their annual Spring Week, April 22-26.

“Spring Week celebrates the closing of another fantastic school year and always takes place the week of Prom,” said Allison Peterson, co-sponsor of Student Council.

This year’s Spring Week will include five dress up days and two days of competitions..

Spring Week dress up days are:

Monday, April 22—Y2k Day

Tuesday, April 23—Twin Day

Wednesday, April  24—Class Color Day (Freshmen-Blue; Sophomores-Purple; Juniors-Orange, and Seniors-Red)

Thursday. April  25—Country Club v Country Day

On Wednesday, April 24 Spirit Games will be played following the Varsity Baseball and Softball games.  Students are encouraged to come out to support the Coalers and then stay to compete for the Spirit Stick.  Spirit Night game sign-ups will take place in the high school LRC.

And, this year's Spring Week assembly will take place during CCT on Friday, April 26 with the 1st Annual Staff vs. Seniors basketball game taking place in the Competition Gym.

The final activity of the week is the Junior/Senior Prom on Saturday, April 27. Those attending Prom can enter the school through the weight room doors at 4:15 p.m. to begin check-in.
