Hello! My name is Kassandra Marsala, and I am one of two social workers at Coal City High School. I have been employed with Coal City School District since 2021, working my first 2 years primarily at the Intermediate School. I have a Master's in Social Work from the University of St. Francis (2017), obtained my Professional Educator License (PEL) in 2021, and obtained my License Social Worker (LSW) in 2022.

As a School Social Worker, I provide direct and indirect services to students, families, and school personnel to promote and support students’ academic, social, and emotional success. I am also involved with helping students address problems or issues that may get in the way of learning, such as truancy, social withdrawal, & limited resources.
