Ashley Frizzell, Social Worker
My name is Ashley Frizzell, and I am the school social worker at Coal City High School. Thank you for visiting my page!
My role at CCHS is to support all students by ensuring social, emotional, and behavioral barriers to learning are prevented or addressed. I am passionate about partnering with teenagers as they find independence navigating their every day challenges. I enjoy building relationships with students and their families, and I would love to hear from you. Call or email me anytime!
I hold my Bachelors degree (WIU) and Masters degree (AU) in Social Work. I hold a Certified Alcohol and other Drug Counselor (CADC) certification through IAODAPCA. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with Illinois Department of Professional Regulation. I have held my current position with CCUSD#1 since 2013.
When I am not at school, I enjoy reading, running, and crocheting. My favorite time is playing with my two young children, being with my husband, and drinking coffee. A day does not go by that I am not thankful for the laughter and lessons my children give me. Everyday, I try to be balanced, transparent, and grateful.
