My name is Melissa George and excited to start my fourth year at Coal City High School and third year as the PATH teacher! My first year, I was the Social Studies Co-Teacher but my passion is the self-contained classroom. So when the opportunity arose, I became the PATH teacher. I have over 10 years experience in other districts and positions in education. Before my career in education, I had my own business as a freelance graphic designer. My most recent accomplishment was obtaining a B.S. in Elementary Education and Special Education from Grand Canyon University. Teaching is my passion and I love to link students to outside classroom resources to help with the transition from high school to adulthood.
